Hello Photosoccers!
It was great to see so many people at the our first meeting of 09/10. There
is quite a wide range of experience, and we hope the society can do
something for everyone on this spectrum. Our meeting next week (Monday 28th
September, location TBC) should be particularly useful to those new to
photography or new to film; the shoots on Wednesday around the West-End and
on Saturday around the Merchant City should be fun for people of any
background.
Here's what's coming up this week:
* Wednesday 23rd. West-End Wander; meeting at 1pm at the Main Gate. More
info on the blog here http://guphotosoc.co.uk/2009/09/freshers-wander/ and
on flickr.
* Thursday 24th. A chance to see a modern classic of Scottish cinema on a
big screen. "Trainspotting" will be showing in the Andrew Stewart Cinema
(just across from the GUU) at 3pm. For more info email the Screens society
at screens.gu at googlemail.com
* Saturday 26th. Merchant City Festival; meeting at 1030am outside St Enoch
Underground. More info on this is on flickr and will be on the mailing list
and/or blog nearer the event.

* Monday 28th. Benzo Harris gives what will probably become an infamous
tutorial on buying a film camera, taking pictures with it and developing
your own film. Feel free to bring along photos/books/cameras for the
post-tutorial rabble and likely pub trip. Location TBC.

check out the discussion group on flickr at

So that's two shoots, one tutorial and a screening: hopefully see you at
all or some of the events!
Sean.
