Glasgow University Photo Society Announcements announce at guphotosoc.co.uk

Hello everyone!

Our first meeting of term is at 7pm today, Monday 21st September 2009 in
the Food Factory at the Queen Margaret Union ( http://www.QMU.org.uk/ ).
It's going to be a pretty short and low-key gathering, where we can all
introduce ourselves, talk about what types of photography we like the
most, what kind of cameras we use, what we'd all like to get from the
society this year and things like that. The society is here for you, run
by members for members; if there's something you think we should be
doing, as a group we can make it happen.

Also remember that the Photosoc (as the cool kids call it) is open to
all. Any level of photography is welcomed and encouraged, as is anybody
with any kind of gear. You don't even need to have a camera! Throughout
the year we'll have a diverse range of tutorials, photoshoots and film
screenings. Photography is a wide-ranging thing that combines art,
science, business, and a general passion for anything creative. We
believe there is no one "perfect" picture or one "right" way to do it.
Our goal is to help everybody discover the magic of photography and to
enable them to take the kind of pictures they want.

So, come along to our first meeting of 09/10 tonight in the QMU. Feel
free to bring along cameras, laptops and prints to show, discuss and
play with. If you can't make the meeting, don't let that stop you
keeping up to date with upcoming events and taking part in shoots and
events.

Regards,
Sean.
