We are Photosoc – Glasgow University’s Photographic Society, and we’re a group of people who are passionate about taking, and looking at other people’s photos. Some of us have been messing around with cameras since we discovered that we had opposable thumbs; others have never picked a camera up, and just enjoy looking at other people’s work.

We gather together regularly for fun and photography throughout the University term – that’s September through to June, and anyone’s welcome to come along to a meeting, you don’t even need a camera, or to commit yourself to becoming a member.

Keep an eye on our news page, or sign up to our mailing list for details about upcoming meetings, and photography events around the city.

We’re also socially connected, so you can find us on flickr, follow our twitterings, get friendly with us on facebook, and even get in touch using those older-fashioned things, like email, and post.

Above all: come along to our meetings or other events. We have regular meetups, film screenings, photoshoots, photoblogs, photoreviews and more words prefixed with photo than ever before. New members are always very welcome. If we’re not doing something you want to be doing, come along and suggest it, post about it on the flickr forum, others will be interested too.
